It's all in the detail

You've waited months if not years for your wedding day.

You've spent hours and hours making sure every little detail is all perfect.

The big day finally arrives - and it's all over in a flash.

Wouldn't it be great if you could just relive it all over again?

That's where your wedding photographer comes in.

Our job is to make sure that we not only get all of the pictures you expect to get on your wedding day, the family formal pictures, the informal, fun pictures, speeches, cake cutting etc. but also  make sure that we get lots of pictures of the tiny details, the  items that mean so much to you, the ones that you can so easily forget about as the years roll by.

They aren't always immediately obvious, these items.  It might be your Grandma's wedding ring sewn onto the inside of your wedding dress, or a brooch that means a lot to you.

It isn't just the items that have sentimental value, it's also the special touches that made your day unique and that you spent so much time thinking about and choosing, such as the table decorations and place cards. These are all really important  and can trigger lovely memories.

That's why Bob and me take care to make sure we get lots of images of the details.

Here are just a few of our favourites from Andrew and Roxana's wedding last year.

Andrew and Roxana's Smurf wedding cake. Loved it, it summed up their sense of humour brilliantly.

Roxana's special brooch, it was pinned onto one of the orchids in her bouquet but my eagle eyes spotted it! I found out later it has great sentimental value.

Table decoration  - but you'd already guessed that, hadn't you? I haven't a clue what the table decorations looked like at my wedding nearly 25 years ago - no pictures to remind me, y'see. Sigh.

Quite a big detail, the London bus.  I couldn't leave it out though because it was such an important part of the day. It was great fun and all the guests loved it. They even got tickets.  The little girl below seemed to be fascinated by hers.

ok, not a detail but I loved the moment and the little girl was so cute.

These are just a few to whet your appetite, more soon.

  1. I spent good money on my wedding photographer, and I am so glad I did, as the night raced by without my noticing who was dancing, who was talking to whom...

You really do take some lovely photos. Great eye.
